I found both of these in the back yard.

Oh look, here's the older brother.  Mature Yellow Crowned Night Heron.

Gone Forever

Sadly, both the cottage and wysteria are gone, torn down a couple of years ago.

He has to learn...

...there aren't any fiddler crabs in my neighbor's pool!

This young Yellow Crowned Night Heron hung around the pool most of the day.  He found no crabs there.
